You can help Birmingham Rathbone to provide services for people with learning disabilities/difficulties in a number of ways:

Volunteering

Volunteering can be a lot of fun and is extremely rewarding.  It is also a great way to learn new skills, gain experience and meet new people.

Birmingham Rathbone has volunteering opportunities at all levels of the organisation including, helping clients with consultation projects, redecoration of their home, attending social activities and helping with fundraising events.

Become a corporate supporter

The benefits to your organisation of becoming a corporate supporter of Birmingham Rathbone’s work with people who have a learning disability/difficulty are wide-ranging:

Your employees can develop new skills and abilities which they can bring back to their place such as leadership, organisation skills and awareness of the barriers people with a disability have on a daily basis. 

You can involve your team in fundraising activities which will enhance their team building skills. 

You can choose us as your ‘charity of the year’ and raise your profile within the community or give a one off donation.

Offer voluntary or paid work within your organisation to a person with a learning disability/difficulty to enhance their skills and ability.

Making a donation

If you would like to make a cash donation to support Birmingham Rathbone’s services for people with a learning disability/difficulty, please use the ‘Paypal’ button that is located on every page of this site. 

You can also contact us to request a Gift Aid form using our contact page, which will increase the value of your donation by allowing Birmingham Rathbone to reclaim the tax that you have already paid on this income. 

Leaving a legacy to Birmingham Rathbone in your will can make a real difference to our clients. 

We wish to continue providing services for people with a learning disability/difficulty in Birmingham for many years to come.  Leaving a legacy to Birmingham Rathbone will help us to achieve this aim.
