Personal Care with or without accommodation

Our aim is to empower people with assistance and support to live as independently as possible.

We provide two kinds of care service. Birmingham Rathbone delivers a Home Care Service to adults (18 years or over – no upper limit) with a learning disability/difficulty and/or autism who live in their own homes or tenancies in the community. We work with the Birmingham City Council Health & Social Care Team to provide appropriate care packages to meet the individual needs of the clients we support. We can also provide a care service to you in your home if you have funding through a Direct Payment or if you want to pay privately.

We also provide a Supported Living service, where we deliver a care service to people in accommodation which we also provide. This service helps people with a learning disability/difficulty and/or autism to live in the accommodation of their choice and get support to build up their skills, gain confidence and make choices in all areas of their life.

Clients of these services are fully involved in decisions about the care and support we provide to them through individual care assessments and multi-agency working. Due to the different levels of ability which people with learning disabilities/difficulties and/or autism have, all the staff we employ are qualified, trained and have the relevant experience to support clients with all areas of their care needs.
